Eligible business owners meet the following criteria:
- Owner of a business that has been operational for at least one year
- Owner of a business with annual revenue between $100,000-$1,500,000
- Owner of a business employing between 1-5 full- or part-time non-owner employees
- Located in any of the 50 United States, the District of Columbia, or Puerto Rico
- Have a business bank account
- Committed to completing the full program
The Brewing & Business Experienceship is a competitive opportunity for one craft brewer annually to receive educational and enrichment experiences that positively impact their success. The Experienceship will be tailored to the selected brewery’s business needs.
Potential opportunities include:
- Airfare and one hotel room for two individuals to attend the Crafting Dreams Beer Bash event in New York City celebrating the Experienceship finalists. The event will be held in early June 2026 (exact date to be confirmed).
- One-on-one virtual mentoring from various functional areas of The Boston Beer Company. Functional areas can include ingredients brewing, procurement, quality assurance, social media, graphic design, accounting/finance, legal, marketing, sales & distribution among others.
- Extended in-person mentoring from Samuel Adams, including from founder Jim Koch. This includes one week-long trip to Boston with airfare and one hotel room covered for two individuals.
- A collaboration beer that will potentially be released in Boston at the Samuel Adams tap rooms and in limited distribution in the craft brewer’s region.
